Buddy's or Captain Don' is probably your best bet. Others are good too but these are the two that will likely appeal to a first timer. Of the two I like Buddy's better I think.
Send me a PM if you want to know where not to stay.

I've stayed at Buddy's twice and would stay there again no questions asked. The food there wasn't that good but we only had breakfast included in our package and did our own thing for lunches and dinner. Sand Dollar is right next door to Buddy's and I think you dive with Buddy's if you stay there. Buddy's also includes a vehicle in their prices which you have to have if doing any shore dives other then the house reef.

We stayed at Golden Reef Inn last year (Feb 2006) for two weeks. It was inexpensive, clean, the folks running it are terrific, but the location we were at was not near the water. They do offer a package with the truck and diving (through WannaDive).
We are going again in November and staying at Den Laman this time. While our studio does not overlook the water, the place itself is on the water. It was a good price for a package including the truck/diving. We did a few dives at Bari Reef, the "house reef" at Den Laman, and a couple of boat dive there too. My wife was happy from what she saw, so we booked our upcoming trip directly with the resort. |
