Blackbeard's Hogsty Reef Trip

Just returned from a great trip aboard Black-beard’s Morning Star with Capt Grason and owner Bruce. We did the southern Exumas itinerary, including Hogsty Reef.
Last time I was there was three years ago on Nekton's Cachalot. Several storms have changed things somewhat. A lot of the magnificent Elkhorn coral was damaged or killed and most of the Coral heads inside the Lagoon have died off. The west Wall is still as great as ever with lots of healthy coral, gorgonians, sponges and a healthy Fish population. The wreck on the N.E. side has definitely been storm battered. See attachment. We also dove sites off Conception Is. Rum Cay, Acklinds Is, Crooked Is. Long Cay and Long Is.
The Crew was great and the cook did a magnificent job. Meals were supplemented with the catch of the day, including Tuna, Lobster, Conch, Snapper and Lion Fish (mostly provided by owner "Bruce - the lion slayer".
Wish the trip could have been longer, ie. 10days to 2 weeks. The only glitch was my return flight to Ft. Lauderdale where I had left my truck. Continental canceled my 10am flight and rebooked me on their 8 am flight. the only problem being that I wasn't notified. They rebooked me on a n American flt to Miami and cut me a voucher for taxi fare back to Ft. Lauderdale. Had to hail 5 taxis before I found one that would except the voucher. Made for an interesting adventure
