September Little Cayman Trip

We are going to Little Cayman from September 20 through 27. Trying to find out how it weathered the storm. Can't find a lot on the internet yet. Going to call my travel agent on Monday. Sure glad I bought trip insurance.

I would think you should be ok. From what I've heard most of the docks and boats are damaged or destroyed, the electrical poles are down, and the road around the exterior of the island has been sand covered, and eroded in some spots.
The road will probably be fixed within several days, and the power will definately be back. No water yet- they are checking to make sure it's safe.
Where are you staying? I would think 3 weeks from now your biggest issue as a diver would be the boat and dock situation.

You will like Little Cayman resort. Good dive operation and great meals. Hope all goes well for you.

My trip report is posted in the Cayman forum.

Well we got the bad news today. They are going to open back up at Little Cayman Beach Resort on the 27th which is the day we were to come home. Looks like we are going to try to go to Bonaire. Probably stay at Buddys. Been there a couple times. Dont like it as well as Little Cayman, but now there is no choice. We go from St Louis so they have a good flight on Delta.
