If anyone wants to provide to me some sort of word document or spreadsheet (excel preferred) of dive site names, description, and lat/long (WGS84 datum please as NAD27 is a pain), then I would GLADLY include these in this .KML.

Trial Run

Alright,

I was able to find a few minutes tonight to put together a quick and dirty .kml of some of the dive site locations that were provided via this thread and others on this forum. The attached document is really a GOOGLE KML, but due to really small file size restrictions, I had to rename to a .DOC. So please download, rename to .kml, and open in Google Earth. And please provide back some feedback and points.

Interesting map. I checked out all the sites that I dive and found there are a number of problems with the map:

1. Many of the best sites missing.
2. Very inaccurate information on some sites.
3. The same site is marked in 2 different places. It's unusual 'cause this site has 2 different names in real life. Whoever compiled the list did not realize they were the same.

they rarely update that map.... use it only as a basis to give you idea for further research.
