Lightbulb Comprehensive Dive Map of US

Does anyone know of a comprehensive map with dive site locations? Not just "Oh Bonnaire is great," but rather individual sites with descriptions. I am thinking in terms of Google Map here. If so GREAT! I would love it to be done. If it is not, then I have started one using Google's custom map feature. PM and I'll add you and an editor to the map. To use the often played out, but never not funny, "It's so easy, a caveman can do it." This would be a HUGE resource for not just this forum, but anyone looking for dive site information.

Check out lakediver.com Lake Diver - Bringing light to another way of diving. They have a map under dive information that has a lot of dive spots on it.

Not a map of U.S. sites - but the Ontario Underwater Council has a great Google Earth Shipwreck directory. Most of these are in the St. Lawrence or the Great Lakes:

Either Scuba Diving Mag or Sport Diver (can't recall which) has a big map of US dive sites. They go over a few new sites every month, seems like. Referring to inland lakes, quarries, etc.

Thank you all for providing this GREAT information. I am taking a lot of this information and creating a kml out of it as we speak. I'll keep you posted along the way and hope to have some sort of 'beta' by the end of next week. We got > 1' of rain from Gustov so no diving for a couple of weeks.

I will try to compile a list of dive sites for Long Island since it was the bane of my early diving experience to try to figure out where to go for local shore dives around where I live.. I bought a great book called Long Island Shore Diver that has almost 50 sites and it would be great to see them represented on a map someplace.

Is the klm you are talking about for google earth?
