I've never been on Blackbeard but on the Explorer Ventures they have rooms with 2 people per room. On some of their boats you share bathrooms and others you have the bathroom as part of your room. From what I've heard Blackbeards is more like camping at sea but I'm sure somebody who has been on their boat can tell you more. If you are looking to do the Bahamas exlporer ventures boat this New Year you are SOL.

As far as blackbeards goes, it's pretty much the least expensive of all liveaboards. You share a common room for bunks, common heads and showers, etc. Luxury liveaboards will have private staterooms complete with showers and heads.

blackbeard's is absolutely the opposite of luxury it is an adventure. it's like camping at sea, no one showers and no one cares. If you like the thought of being a pirate for a week you'll dig blackbeard's. I've never had more fun and never spent less on a vacation. If you want to shower everytime you get out of the water, blackbeard's isn't for you.

Suppose it depends upon the person but my wife went with me this year. She took diving class but wasn't comfortable enough to do boat dives this trip. She had a riot...fished, snorkeled, and videotaped the crew. Bimini is a riot although I would recommend not overdoing the drinks. hangover on rocking boat is bad, bad, bad.
