I am going to glom onto this post... I was prepared to buy a 3mm for my trip to Bonaire in late January. But, now I am wondering if 3mm will be enough.

Topside, I tend to feel colder than most. It's not unusual for me to wear a fleece after the sun goes down in 75 deg F weather.

My plan was to buy something affordable ($100-$150) since I would only be using it on warm water trips. In Michigan, I will be relying on either my dry suit or 7mm.

Other than gut instincts, what criteria would you use to determine your wetsuit thickness?

Thanks!
Nat

Not to kill the thread, but you may want to post in the wetsuit forum.

Maybe we could just get the powers that be to move the thread to the proper forum. Otherwise why even have forums. We could all just post in one forum.
