We dive with Papa Hogs, and in the past, we have had friends, who do not dive, but wanted to go on the boat. Hogs would charge $25, but that included a DM that would take them on a snorkel above, while we did our dive.

I went on a trip last year and got the impression that Papa Hog's is a great opp. I personally went with Dive Paradise as it was part of an all inclusive package and we were trying to keep the trip as inexpensive as possible. That being said, we had a great time with them. We had around 16 on some dives and more like 8-10 for most. If there was a larger group, they would split it in half, so it worked out well. I believe they are one of the biggest ops on the island. I think Papa Hogs tends to have faster and smaller boats, so that's something to consider.

I couldn't say whether they would let a friend on the boat, but I imagine most ops would (perhaps requiring a fee as Traci pointed out).

I would recommend Blue Note, that its perfect both for divers and non divers, because the boat is very comfortable, safe dives, good food in the surface interval and friendly staff.
Enjoy your dives, cheers
