I'm fascinated by coral reefs so my favorite spot would have to be Fiji. There is so much color, that you think you may be in a psychedelic dream of soft corals, reef fish and small creatures. Watching anemone fish protecting their little patch is a big bonus.

Cozumel ... any one of the Palancar sections, although Bricks may be my favorite. The water is clear, the coral is towering, and some days it's turtles, turtles, turtles!

Runner up would be Bonaire for the fish-life everywhere...

Bonaire was amazing but I would have to go with the Harbor in Guam. As a history buff, touching shipwrecks from two different world wars at the same time was almost a religious experience.

My favourite site is L'Abym in Dominica followed very closely by Superman's Flight in St. Lucia. These two places are not over dived by resort divers, there is an abundance of marine life. L'Abym has a lot of different marine life and Superman's flight has a really nice current to drift on with all the fishies.

As far as fresh water goes, I've meet a few people who like Brockville, ON, Canada (Lake Ontario & St. Lawrence River). It is possibly the warmest place to dive in Canada (range of 60F to 75F in the summer) and have a vast array of ship wrecks. I have been that far east yet but hope to go there in August.

So far it looks like a toss up between Indonesia and Cozumel.

As far as freshwater goes, my best dives were in Lake Tahoe. They have an underwater forest that is impressive. Its cold diving though. I need to go back now that I am diving dry.

My freshwater experience sucks. Just terrible vis lakes in Texas. Though the second lake at Blue Lagoon had 30-40 feet vis last time I was there, so I guess I'd say that

Better do Cozumel first or you won't enjoy it as much after Indonesia.
