What's your all time favorite dive spot?

I'm sure this has already been run through the mill in other threads, but I'm going to start this one anyhow.

What is your all time favorite dive spot? And more to the point, why is it your favorite?

My favorite spot is in Kona where the manta dive is held. Totally surreal to have a dozen mantas crusing inches from your face, doing their loops. Not to mention the resident moray "Frank" that likes to hang out wrapped around your tank valve or under your arm waiting for an opportune meal to swim by.

I'm hoping to find a spot that rivals this for an upcoming trip.

From where I've been, which has been somewhat limited: Cozumel, it's just beautiful

So far Cozumel. My experience is limited but I enjoyed the drift diving in Cozumel a lot and IMO the clarity was as good or better than Grand Cayman.

My favorite area is Indonesia and Lembeh Strait in particular. I love macro and love weird critters and there is no better place on the planet for the two of them. Another area I love for reefs and general fish life is Raja Ampat. Komodo is another great area in Indonesia.

Coco Loco Island, Philippines. My last dive there was absolutely the best dive of my life! So much life it was fantastic!

The Lighthouse Atoll in Belize would certainly be up there, followed by Bonaire.

Granted there are only a few posts so far, but I see no freshwater spots yet. Where is the allure for sticks, algae, perch, and cinderblocks?
