So azdiver...any updates or further thoughts?...the attached pics gets my vote....best diving i've ever done.....The 599-e attached has to be clicked on can't figure out what I did (perhaps an Art moment...LOL).

Linda is off diving in the Bahamas so you have a few days to fix 599-e. How come everyone is going diving but you Scott?

Because it is not in the Budget this year...cannot figure out how to fix that 599-e...like I said an Art moment

So Scott... nice pics but where were they taken? I've seen a lot of places that look just like that from the air!

Just got in this morning from San Salvador and am in the process of getting things washed off and organized today. Will have more time to sit down and go through emails and postings tomorrow.

I am pretty much up for going wherever the majority of people want to go.... as long as the water's warm... at least 78 degrees or higher. Met several people at the resort who really liked Tawali... you can do several days at the resort and several days off their liveaboard. They offered a great 2 for 1 deal last year and maybe they will offer it again next year.

I wasn't to fond of Tawali when I was there. They were down one boat so they overloaded the other boats plus they only have two night dive spots and one is the house reef which really wasn't that good. The other night dive spot I saw 3 spanish dancers on over two dives though. I'd go to Milne Bay again but only on a liveaboard. Tawali will get no more of my money.

azdiver....pics are from Papua area of Raja Ampat....In fact Kri and Sardines reef are right there...with kri eco and Sorido resort are on the big Island.

And if ChinaCat did not like Tawali...I would not go there either....and...and...78 is much too cold for me gotta be 82 or better!

Did you hear a few months ago...That a group of armed men came in and robbed everyone at the Tawali resort....but I would assume they have beefed up security a bit since then.

I heard that about Tawali but was never able to confirm it. I think I told you did you ever confirm it?

This was from a trip report on Undercurrent...March 2009...and at the Long Beach Scuba show I asked a sales rep for Tawali....he said something about added security...and really did not want to talk about it!...the robbery was a bit more serious than this post from what Ben Davidson (undercurrent editor) said.

"Due to stormy weather, we anchored
at Tawali one night. In the morning,
I wanted to go ashore, but was
told no. Eight robbers had invaded the
resort the day before at 7 a.m., hitting
the safe and guests’ rooms. It was
an inside job; one of the perpetrators
was captured, some of the money recovered.
