Muck stick group trip!

I suggested getting a group trip together on another thread here and said I would post a new thread to get the ball rolling so here goes....

This is for all of you on the muck stick thread and for those of you that just want to go on a fun trip with a group of great divers!!

Looking at departing sometime around Dec. 20, 2010 and returning back home right after we all welcome in the New Year 2011!!!

Let's start by coming up with a few destinations and then when we get it narrowed down I can get some pricing put together.

One suggestion has been to spend part of the time on a LOB and part of the time at a land based resort.... so feel free to chime on in.

Destinations so far are:
Lembeh
Raja Ampat
Walindi
PNG

Feel free to pm me anytime and I will be more than happy to send you my email with contact info.

I would vote for Lembeh/Bali/Raja Ampat (I'll take an extra week) or Rangiora and Fakarava. Been to both of these places during Xmas and New Years.....warm waters and not many people around...and the diving....I have not found anything better yet!

I'd prefer someplace I haven't been and I've heard the muck diving in Anilao is very good so that is my suggestion. The water temp will be 78 to 80 at that time of year. Not warm but not cold either.

For somewhere I have not been....Walindi and Eastern Fields only if you can get the 7 day LOB option.

I'd do the Eastern Fields on a 7 or 10 day LOB but I don't know if I could take Scott being seasick 10 days. As for land based there is some good muck diving right near Port Moresby at Loloata Island. I've been to Walinidi(Kimbe Bay)

My vote, for what it's worth, is for someplace I have been to yet however I will go just about anywhere the group decides as long as there's lots of marine life, good viz and warm waters.... am in the process of buying a 3 mil so I'm good to go just about anyplace where the water temps are at least in the high 70's!

If we do the MV Golden Dawn out at the Eastern Fields I want cabin 2 or 4 and a roommate that has sympathy for possible Seasick people.

Hey... if you start saving now then you and your wife can join us!! I would love to have another woman on the trip.

BTW.... just because it's a muck stick group trip doesn't mean we have to go someplace just for muck diving! I still love FIJI!!!!

I will be sitting here and waiting for an answer, if the answer is Fiji, there will not be much to convince the better half of for me... she has wanted to go there for years.
