The hubby and I are booked for Cozumel at the end of November and wouldn't you know it, we were able to get connections through Dallas!
I asked for this because I really want to see ScubaToys in person and perhaps buy a new reg for the trip ![]() So the questions are... 1) how far away is ST from DFW? Do we need to rent a car or is it close enough for a taxi? 2) Where is a good place to overnight close to DFW? I know there are a billion hotels around DFW, but is one area safer than another? 3) My husband is requesting that I ask if anyone knows any good gun stores in the area too (it is Texas after all) since I get to go shopping, he figures he can too and that's fair enough as long as there is enough time after ST! |

We're about a 20 minute drive from the airport... You may want a car if you are here over night, and heading to gun shops, etc... But if not.. You let me know when you're getting in, and I'll pick you up and take you to the shop.
Lots of motels around... there's a LaQuinta about 1/2 mile from the shop - nothing fancy but safe, and only about 60 a night or so. If you want to spend about 100, there is a nice holiday In about 4 miles away... And the "best" gun shops, are where the neighborhoods are not really the best.... If you're here on a weekend, Dallas or Ft. Worth Gun shows are almost monthly, and if you get lucky enough to hit the same time as them, your choices and prices will be much better. |

WOW, thanks for the offer Larry! Everyone keeps saying how good the service is from ST and you've proven it once again.
We'll check the hotel situation out and keep you informed! Thanks ![]() We are coming home through Dallas on the 29th, so the hubby will be happy to know there's a gun show we could fit into the itinerary! |
