Nice sights. I'm definitely gonna have to go back there as soon as I get the chance.

Here's a lobster I saw back in my 2005 trip.

The picture really doesn't do the lobster's size much justice. I was rather far away when taking the shot. I didn't know much about UW photography at the time.

oh, and here's a picture of a lobster I saw on Oct. 17.

Packrman,
Glad your trip that started off with airline trouble turned out great. With the change of flights you ended up with more days in Coz too didn't you? How great is that!
We leave Nov 14th for Coz. Your pics and report make me wish I was going tomorrow.

Check your flight, you might be

The extra day was great, the trip was too short anyway.

Well, it did rain one day. We saw the storm coming so we hurried our surface interval to get in the water before we got wet.
When we surfaced the boat crew still had on rain coats but the sun was shining.

Nice work!
If it makes you feel any better I just did a dive weekend.

I went to Innerkip, Ontario. The air temperature was 12C (54F) and the water temperature was 10C (50F). Visibility was around 20' but there were OW student divers. Visibility quickly reduced to 10'.

The staff waited at the gate long enough to collect our entrance fee and then were never seen again. They were shutting down for the winter so all the washrooms were screwed shut (they actually used wood screws to hold the doors closed). I changed in a plywood extension build off the side of a garage.

After the first dive, we surfaced to high winds and waves. We quickly switched our cylinders and head back down for a like more diving. By day two the water had warmed up to 10.5C (51F) and the sun actually came out for about 30 minutes.

All and all it was a good dive. Found a bus, two airplanes, a car and a truck. One of the OWSI found a 30' cabin cruiser. I plan on going back in the Spring to map the place and see what else I can find (I was told there is a lot more there).

I enjoyed it so much that I took time off work to enjoy the experience... well that and I caught the flu. Actually fell asleep at a red light driving home.

LOL, I'd love to go back. I envy the people who go 2-3x a year!!
Yeah, I'm one of those people who went 3X in the last year, but I always want to go back. I've had to curtail my wishes to go on the December Coz trip due to a spring break trip to Roatan (w/ my 17 yr old)-he has been put on credit card patrol to make sure I don't give in to temptation. But.....after that, I think I'll be up for a trip down south-gotta get my fix in!!

Great report PackRman, I love Cozumel for diving. We stayed at the palace on our honeymoon Nov 2008. Aqua Safari was the dive op there at the time. Must have changed. If you ever want a cheap trip, check out Safari Inn. It's run by Aqua Safari. I think it is $40 a night. DEFINITELY not like the palace but if you want a good inexpensive dive trip, clean, cheap and in town around food and beer. The wife and I went for 4 days with 3 days of 3 boat diving for under $800. Can’t beat that. If you do, don’t stay in the room overlooking the water. It is noisy and slightly more per night. Op for the back rooms. Both my wife and I love AS. It feels like we are diving with friends and the dive masters are really good at finding life to see.
