Am heading to Phuket in two weeks, to complete my AOW. After completing my Advanced, will have a few days to play around.
Will prolly head to Koh Phiphi for a daytrip.

Any other awesome divesites there worth hitting up?

never been to Thailand but I did do a lot of research a few weeks back. Everyone says Richelieu Rock is a must.

I spent 6 months in Thailand and dove most of the time there. If you have the time do a Similan Liveaboard.. diving was great and it was a lot of fun.

Most of the dive operators dive off near Phi Phi island. (even from Phuket). So if you are doing your AOW do in Phi Phi instead of Phuket. Save you some time.

fly Air Asia. I have stayed in Phuket and dove Phi Phi, it is awesome. But even better are the Similan if you have time. There is also a good wreck Ferry King Cruiser to dive which is also a nice dive. Have fun!
