Looking for fellow divers for Auckland NZ area dive
Hi, if anyone will be in New Zealand around Dec 5-9th-ish, I'm looking for a dive buddy or a group of divers to dive in the area. I heard Goat Island is pretty nice and it seems relatively close. I'm NAUI Advanced and NITROX certified. Would like to do at least 2 dives per day and willing to dive with any certified RESPONSIBLE divers.
I may rent a car, but everything else (gear, lodging, meals) will be your responsibility. Let me know if you are interested... |

Dude, if you can make it up to the Tutukaka coast, then you have to dive at the Poor Knights. Like Goat Island it is a marine reserve, except you need to get a boat out there. Goat Island can get pretty crowded on a nice day on the weekend so avoid those if you can. GI has LOTS of fish though, so it is fun. The Poor Knights have different sights like rays, maybe some hammerheads etc. Enjoy. Plenty of places around Auckland for a Scallop mission if you know where to look
