Hi, I just introduced myself to this forum and upon the request of a fellow member I would like to tell you about my first dive trip.
My husband and I were married in April. We knew we were going to Fiji in July when we decided to get married, so we went to the courthouse in April and planned a destination wedding for our Fiji trip. The diving in Fiji was amazing. ALthough, I have nothing to compare it to, I can't imagine going anywhere else in the world and have the diving be any better. We are actually on the website of the dive resort that we stayed at in Fiji. If you go to Dive Kadavu and then click on the "weddings" link, we are the couple standing in the water and the other 3 pictures are of us and the set-up they did for us with having a candle lit dinner on the beach. So amazing. I highly recommend anyone to go to Dive Kadavu. It was such a great experience. The food could have been (much) better, but we felt that with the resourses that they had available with it being such a desolate island, they did okay with the food. The staff was pleasant and the diving was extraordinary. While we were there we saw a nurse shark and a white tip reef shark. A HUGE octopus, many many schools of awesome fish like moorish idols and parrot and butterfly fish. I thought I was swimming in an aquarium. They have a wide variety of dive sites too. So, literally any level of diver can find enjoyment to their own training level. If any of you have any questions, please feel free to ask! We were planning on going to Roatan in March , but the resort we wanted to stay in is booked already for the week we want to go Oh well, things happen for a reason, right? |
