I am going to Maldives in the beginning of March for a week of diving. I am wondering if anyone has been there at this time of year and what can I expect to see and what is it like.

The Maldives is a low-lying island nation consisting of a number of atolls in the Indian Ocean. As the flattest nation on earth with an average height of only 7 feet above sea level it is considered particularly vulnerable to the perils of global climate change.
Climate researchers say that many of its islands will disappear over the next century as the seas rise.

ahhh well thinking of global warming arnt there quite a few islands that are sinking?

Where are you staying? I'm looking to go there at Christmas, if I can get a good package booked. We can go to Maldives from here for maybe $400 return on a cheap airline.


I am going with a group from a local dive shop and we will be staying on a live aboard called the Manthiri.
