You should get a fair amount of responses. I've only been there once and since I'm not an all-inclusive type, we stayed at Suites Bahia (sp). It is a very minimal place in downtown. Quite cheap, but perfectly fine for a place to bunk after diving. Next time I go to Coz, I will probably try a different spot.

I know that AA has a direct flight in CZM from DFW and there are several daily AA flights between LAX and DFW.

I haven't dove since 1983, but recently re-certified, so I know nothing. But I am going to Cozumel the third weekend of January. Staying at Hotel Cozumel. Booked through Dive Paradise Prices seem to be about the same, but it looks like you get a few more dives, and it is all inclusive, so you don't need to worry about having to try to get food somewhere else. I don't think there is shore diving though.

I know nothing of the place personally, but the reviews on DP are good and they have one of their dive shops right in the hotel. Hope I chose right, we'll see.

I've stayed at Hacienda San Miguel, Hotel Coz, Villablanca, Coral Princess, and Reef Club.
I'm staying at Casa del Mar this trip.
They all have something to offer. Nicest was Coral Princess, best food was Reef Club, cheapest was Villablanca. It's fun to try different places. Next time, Blue Caribe, maybe?

Me and my brother leave for Cozumel, Sunday Nov, 11. We are staying in the heart of town in a little "cheap" hotel called the Palma Dorda Inn. We prefer to eat at the local places there in town since all of them are within walking distance. We booked our dives through Dive Paradise, since my brother had used them before except this time we decided to do all of our dives from the smaller "fast boats". I'll give a lil review of how things went when we get back.

You didn't really say what you were looking for in a hotel or dive op.....but FA is a nice middle ground hotel.....you can choose any dive op you want...they can pick you up at the hotel pier....

FA is a bit far from town...so if you go to town everyday for whatever reason your cab will run you around $6.00 to and from....

I use Blue XT sea as my dive op great service small boats 6 pax....dive your computer...long bottom times...long Surface Intervals....
Cozumel Diving: Blue XT SEA Diving, Cozumel Mexico

To find out which airlines fly to Cozumel from your area use a site like Kayak http://www.kayak.com/....this site will also compare prices from the different airlines....

im really looking for an all inclusive package thats affordable under 700 for a 5night stay at dbl occupency. At most of these hotels isnt the diveing included with the stay? or is it seperate from the actual cost of the hotel?

All inclusive really doesn't work so well in Cozumel. The food in town is too good, too cheap and too varied to make all inclusive worthwhile. I did it once and regretted it.

All inclusive works better for places like Jamaica where stepping 6 inches off the resort's property is taking your life in your hands.

Find a decent hotel that's walking distance to town. I like the Barracuda. Any dive op will pick you up on their pier. Walk into town for dinner.
