Going Fresh In August. Went last year for the first time, great
viz (50ft) for fresh but not alot to see. Felt like I was on the
moon. If anyone is going to be there the first two weeks of
August maybe we could buddy up. I will be in Homewood (near Hurrucane
bay)

Yeah, last time I was there, I snorkled. It was actually before I became scuba certified so I didn't know any better. But I would like to go back and dive. I remember lots of schools of small fish. And lots of crawdads. And the vis was amazing for fresh water.

The water temp last month was about 72 at the surface, 62 at the first thermocline at about 30 feet, and maybe 55 at the 2nd thermocline at 60 feet. It was dropping fast and my 7MM was getting very chilly!
