I love the contrast of the black silhouetted divers and the blue water in the first shot. I really like the last one too.

Hey Im in that picture. It was one of my all time favorite
dives. The scariest part of that trip was eatting the sandwich
the Divemaster gave us after the dive! WOW

Skinsfan1311,

Since you're wearing only a football jersey and what look like biker shorts, I assume the water was warm.. What was the water temp? I would have thought it would be cool to cold.

Note: Skins haven't been the same since they lost Sonny. Nope, not the same...

I'm actually wearing an Excel 3/2 shorty.

While diving, I typically wear either a Sean Taylor, (to intimidate sharks), or a Clinton Portis, (to outswim the sharks).

Seriously, (the disdain of Iggle & Cowpoke fans aside), donning a jersey makes me readily identifiable to my insta-buddies and DM's

You are correct, the water temps were cool, (around 76 degrees), but I found it quite refreshing. We did 2 dives, (each ~ 45 minutes), with a short SI between dives. We didn't even get out of the water, we just switched out tanks.

I was fine throughout the first dive, but I did get chilly towards the very end of the 2nd dive. If I had to do it over, would've worn heavier exposure protection.

Note: With the exception of the 3 Super Bowl trophy's since he left, you're spot-on about post-Sonny Redskins.........

"Refreshing"...that's what I say when I really mean "freeze my a$$ off".

Thanks for info on temps. I'd like to do a cenote dive the next time I'm in Cancun/Playa del Carmen area. Sounds like 3mm or even 5mm is the way to go.

LOL! Good call on the exposure protection. A full 3M suit would've been perfect

The cenote dives were incredible. I highly suggest it.

After much research,(both on the net & with fellow divers), I chose this outfit: http://mantadivers.com/

It's owned by one of your fellow Texans, (John), and is a decent dive-op. Make sure you ask for Leif as your guide. He has a reputation as one of the best cenote guides in all of Cancun. It's a long day, but it's definitely worth the experience.

Please don't hesitate to shoot me a PM with any details, or questions.
