Palau = My number 1 top dive destination. LOVE IT...let me say it again.LOVE IT.

Expect the best diving you ever had.
Expect the best marine life
Expect the most beautiful underwater scenery
Expect sharks (Blue hole!!!!)
Expect turtles.

Topside??? I would rather be under.

I dove Palau year before last, and loved it. Diving was drift, a few of the dives were heavy current - on several we used the reef hooks to hang out and watch the sharks and schools of barracuda. A couple of the dives the current was strong enough I couldn't slow down to take pictures, but the scenery was fantastic. The night dives were fabulous, did the walls and saw tons of critters. I was on the Agressor right before the boat moved to Sulewasi, so didn't do much topside. Visability was good, corals are unbelievable, loads of large and small critters. Enjoy!

We stayed at the Palau Pacific resort and dove with Sams Tours...It was a great combinations....Sams Tours picked us up the the PPR dock every day..The Diving was fabulous..Acouple of unforgettable dives were Blue Corner...You swim down a tunnel into a cavern that is open to the ocean at about 60' watch the reef sharks cruise by the opening... then exit on to the wall and up to the top of the reef which is a outside corner where to currents converge..Hook in and be prepared for a blast...schools of barracuda coming up over the reef. An occasional Napolean Wrasse and reef Sharks charging over the top of the reef chasing varoius reef fish and it can be electric....Also Pelileau corner..It is one of the islands on the outskirts of Palau. Great wall drift dive. As you can see we loved it all

The Palau Aggressor didn't move to Sulawesi it was the Truk Aggressor that moved. The Palau Aggressor is still in Palau.

I dove Palau and Yap in 1990 and, next to Fiji, it ranks as one of the best places I've been to. In Palau I stayed at PPR and dove with the on site operation. The drift dives are great, but make sure you go dive the blue corner (think that's the name) in the morning when the cross currents are strong. It's tough to get down to depth but when you do, grab on to something (they now use hooks) and be prepared to see some big fish action! When you've had enough, go up just over the cut and drop down on the other side... no current and lots of 'cuda!

In Yap, make sure you do mill channel... it's like watching rush hour on the mantas reeway! :-)
