Not that I know of. Nor can I imagine.
We have gone of docks and sea walls for special purpose diving, but it isn't pretty.

Not that I know of. My experience in Key West was that I found myself drinking and parting more then diving although I was in my mid twenties when I was there. Great town and you will have a great time.

Most of the best diving is up around Key Largo and Islemorada. But there is some diving down in the lower keys, but I haven't been there. And from divers that have done both, they say don't waste your time diving in key west. That may change next year when they sink the vandenburg. But I think that's sometime in April or May.

We did only boat diving while we were there. It's pretty shallow for quite a ways off shore.

Skydiving up on Sugarloaf Key was totally awesome though! You get to see all the Keys on your way down!

There really isn't much shore diving in the keys..

Most of it is rocky entrance and very slowly slopes to any substantial depth..

I did one shore dive out of Key Largo (private property)...
We swam out quite a waste and the max depth we saw was 10-15feet..

Key Largo is pretty much only boat dives

key west is built up all the way to the shore line not much beach there, I never saw any shore diving. it seems more like a party town than a dive town. there area couple of great museums of diving in key west. We went to Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum. all very cool.

Well, that sucks for me, too. I was considering the keys as a diving location from Ohio when I get back home I guess I'll be doing that ice dive with my Canandian friend.

Take your vacation to Key Largo. Then spend a day not diving in Key West.
