Dive Guam

If anyone gets the chance to stop in Guam, do some diving. There are some great sites there. The Tokai Maru and Cormoran which are a WW1 German and WW2 Japanese Freighter touching each other at 90ft. There are some beautiful coral reefs in the harbor. 2 tank boat dive will usually run about $45.

Would love to dive it. Just can not justify the plane fare cost though.

I was there in November. A truly amazing time! If anyone wants to know about some great dive deals, PM me.

I was in Guam 8 times between June and November thanks to the Navy. I have a friend that teaches for MDA. The prices for diving and equipment are pretty reasonable. The bad part about Guam is that there isn't much else to do there.

I agree with you, the diving can be fabulous there in Guam. There are plenty of places around the island that you can still find WWll remnants. When I was there in the early 80s, it was not uncommon for divers to come across unexploded ordnance. Apra harbor has some other wrecks as well such as the American Tanker which is an easy dive with mostly good vis.

Wish I could make it back there, but it is trued that it is a very expensive flight from what I recall when I checked a while back.

I was first certified in Guam in 1990 with MDA. I was going to a lot of diving but then Sadam invaded Kuwait and my battalion was sent to Saudi Arabia. Ended my diving for awhile. Guam was a great dive.
