You might want to check out a site like SingleDivers.com. Lots of trips scheduled this spring. I'm personally going to bonaire.

Also try this site: DiveBuddy.com - Global Social Network for Scuba Divers

And tell people about it because it would be nice to grow it a bit!

I belong to divebuddy.com as well. It's a great site to find people to dive with from around the world.

I often traveled solo and usually wound up meeting great people to dive with.... after all, divers are among some of the finest and friendliest people around! I went to Roatan about 5 years ago, was "adopted" by a small group on one of the dive boats at the resort and have now gone on dive trips with them the last four years.

I have also found that when you travel solo, whether it be to go diving or explore a foreign country, people seem to go out of their way to be nice to you and vice versa. Most people love to show a stranger the sites and sounds of their country and it's a great way to really see things that are off the beaten track (and avoid tourist traps)!!

I agree 100% to this... I met my first wife by venturing off to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Denmark. Eventually nestled myself in the Black Forest of Germany. Was the some of the best 3 years of my life!

Often ppl ask me if I was military when I mention I lived in Germany for 3 years. Nope! I'd tell them... Civilian, totally different.

Man I wanna do that again.

So yeah, I'd travel solo. Much more fun, and you're not as restricted when you have someone else with you.

Good Luck and happy travels!
