I've been packing regulators, mask, and computers in my carry-on right along, but the trip to Cancun in the fall was the first time I had the big HID can light too. No problems with security, although they were curious. Now that I have an iPhone the laptop will be staying home.

If you are staying longer than the weekend, which it sounds like you are. Take the ferry boat to cozumel and dive there too. Definitely don't forget your c-card or you passport.

I know that you have already been to COZ and returned. But I still wanted to add my 2 cents. Don't forget to renew your DAN insurance. Best, dang deal on the planet. I never dive without it.

Going in August - First Trip - Cash or Credit In Coz?

THanks for the helpful hints!

Is US$ preferred or should we just use our Credit Cards? AMEX? or are we better off with Visa / MC. We learned that AMEX is not always accepted in Europe.

Take small bills. Anything larger than a $20 is a pain to change.
