Thanks everybody, had a great time, and can't wait to go back. We rented a villa through Cozumel Luxury Rentals at Costa Del Sol, just south of Chankanaab Park(sp?). The place was amazing with a pool and pier. Truely a great place handled by professionals both here and on site. We dove with Anita Divers, and they picked us up from our pier except for a day that it was very windy. Five days of two tank dives saw us at Palancar Gardens, Punta Paloma, Palancar Bricks, Delilah Mountains, Punta Sur (Devils Throat), Paradise Reef, El Cedral, Tormentos, Santa Rosa Wall, and San Francisco Reef. There is no way my limited vocabulary and writing skills can begin to do any justice to these dives and what we saw. Many turtles including a giant Loggerhead that passed just off my left shoulder, Spotted Eagle, and Southern rays, A Stoplight Parrot fish on HGH (or maybee Fgh), big Barrel sponges, drum, Nurse sharks (one approx. 5 ft) Puffers, Green Moray, and Spotted eels, Queen, French, and Gray Angels. Triggers of several types, File fish, Butterflies, Blennies, Wrasses, Yellow Damsels (jewel fish) Midnight parrots, three huge Barracudas, Arrow and Stone crabs, Hogfish, small Black Tip at Punta Sur, lobsters, sea horses at Paradase Reef, flounders, scorpion fish, Green razors, Flamingo tounges, healthy rope sponges and coral, soft shell crab, some kind of tiny red fury crab the size of a pencil eraser, plus a bunch of other stuff I can't begin to name or discribe. Forgive me for anything miss spelled or named. Rodolfo (owner) did not come with us, but Emilio(capitan), Areil(DM), Opal(DM), and Jesper(mate), were great at finding critters, keeping us fed and safe. Even on a very windy day when the harbor was closed to boats under 40 ft. The "Anita" is 42 ft long with plenty of shade or sun. Aft deck allowed easy giant stride entry and two "fin on" ladders made for simple exit. Based on the value and experience, I doubt we will use anther Op in Cozumel. PM me with any questions, I'll be glad to answer.
