Diving in the South

We live in Central Georgia. Anyone have any good ideas for places to dive within a days trip, other than Flordia. Been there done that.

Expectations only set you up for failure.

Spoiled vacation divers?

If you've dove florida and "been there done that", you probably won't enjoy Pelham either. What are you looking for in a dive?

You've got DiveHaven in Georgia and BlueWater in Pelham that are dive quarries.

There is a group on Scubaboard that regularly dives Lake Lanier... but reports are with the water being so far down the diving is crappy along with the vis.

We have a group we work with that dives Lanier once a month. They say it is so low that vis is bad but that this is the time to go see things such as the race track and graveyard that are normally too deep for rec diving

How about diving offshore in Savannah (Gray's Reef and etc) ? There is Scuba Market USA that does dive charters - you can google it and find out more info.
