Question and Possibly Selling Atomic T2 Regs
My wife and I began to get into scuba diving only after a few dives to discover that she really didn't care for it at all. Unfortunetly we purchased all of our equipment before hand.
I have a couple quesitons. Would it be better to sell these items online or at a local shop. And if so what is a reasonable price for these items. 1) 2 sets of Atomic T1 regulators (used 3 times) 2) Diverite Transpac 2 XL with frame, tear away weight pockets etc. (used 15 times or so) 3) Seaquest Dive Diva BC Med with Air2 (used 1 time) 4) Two pairs of Scubapro Twinspeed Open Heal fins (split fins)-1 mens 11 and 1 womens 9 (used about 15 times) 5) 1 XL Henderson Hyperstretch 3 Mill wetsuit (used 15 times) 6) Gensesis Resource Pro Computer with wrist strap (used 3 times) 7) Genesis React Pro Computer with wrist strap (used 3 times) I believe when we purchased it all 2 years back it came out to about $4000.00. My question is what are these worth in the used condition that they are in. A friend is looking at buying them all but what is a resonable amount for them all? You probably should be thinking in terms of half of what you payed, perhaps a bit more. I think ebay is a great place to sell things like this. I'd sell each individual item separately rather than forcing folks to buy a package. Lots of good pictures and a good description are a plus. I assume you are a new seller which may be a minus. You have some very good gear there and I would expect a sizable demand. If you can't sell it now during the "diving season", you probably should wait until next spring to sell it.
You might also consider selling it through an established seller with a strong rating who should charge a commission.

Might have someone interested
I am an experienced diver with all of my own gear, but a friend I work just got certified and went on a diving trip for the first time with his wife and they both love it. They are going to stay with it.
I showed him this and he is interested. What do you think you would need to get out of it? I can provide contact info and we can discuss. I will likely stay in the middle for now. He is looking for my advice on the equipment. Thanks |
