what about a divers swap meet?

I was passing by the cycle shop yesterday and they were in the fourth day of their week long swap meet..
I wonder if something like that, with teh way budgets go would be a way to meet other divers and trade gear that's not wanted and make connections?

A local sport good chain that also carries dive gear sponsors a scuba swap meet twice per year here at various locations in SoCal.

If your LDS are cool guys, maybe they would sponsor a swap meet in their parking lot?

It would be a good way for them to get rid of the detritus that builds up in the corners of a dive shop, without being responsible for returns and warranties.

This is such a good idea, I've decided to have a scuba swap meet in my garage tomorrow. Y'all come on out and bring all your gear! We'll be here all day! Free beer and hot dogs too!
