You've really got to lurk and hunt, but you *can* get nice deals on either site. Craigslist, though, depends on where you are in the world.
But, as always, you've got to decide if your time is worth the hunting required to find the hidden gems. Truthfully, I've had better luck with lurking and purchasing on SB, or Divematrix. I also feel more confident, as I know I'm purchasing from another diver, and typically a diver is honest about what they have for sale. The one time I posted a WTB, I found exactly what I wanted, in good shape, for a good price. |

I use craigslist all the time, love it. bought 2 tanks, a catilina al80 and a luxfer al92, 2 sets of fins, 2 regulators, 3 wetsuits, and a bunch of masks and snorkels from 1 fella all for 160 bucks. Since the tanks passes hydro I figured was a good deal just for them. have bought a set of jet fins from ebay as well for 40 bucks. but I agree with the others you need to spend some time to find the good deals and weed thru them.
