Mares Ruby Regulator

I went diving for a week about 10 years ago. Loved it, but I was sick the whole time and I never intend to return. Therefore I have some equipment in excellent shape that would be great for a beginner or as a backup for a diving enthusiast. This item was used maybe 6 times, cleaned, and stored in a cool, dry place.

This post is for a Mares Ruby regulator.

Quote:
The Ruby is a top-of-the-line all metal regulator and incorporates an actual ruby gemstone in the high pressure valve. This ruby valve is impervious to the elements that cause other valves to wear. It exceeds U.S. Navy Standards and was named a "Tester's Choice" by Rodale's Scuba Diving Magazine in 1998 and 1999. The Ruby is the perfect regulator for the diver who demands the best performance in the most demanding diving conditions. The Ruby is one of the most rugged and reliable regulators available today. A Mares regulator bag is included for proper storage and carrying.

MR 22 1st Stage:
  • Ruby gemstone poppet
  • Spherical Core Seal (SCS)
  • Dynamic Flow Control (DFC)
  • Balanced Diaphragm design
  • 4 Low pressure ports
  • 2 High pressure ports
  • Flow rate 4,800 l/min
Ruby 2nd Stage:
  • Chrome and Nickel-plated Brass (All Metal) body
  • Vortex Assisted Design (VAD)
  • Super Flow ½" hose
  • Flow rate 2,400 l/min
Click here for a picture of the regulator.

Asking $300 + shipping from Indianapolis.

Here is an actual pic of the regulator and second stage. The sun was very bright so the yellows LOOK washed out. The second stage hose and breather are yellow.

I had forgotten that I bought the floor model, so there are a few scratches on the paint. I also forgot how much I LOVED this regulator!

BTW, since it's been so long, I'd highly recommend having it professionally cleaned and checked before use.

How about $250 OBO?
