FS: New Hollis F1 fins XL and 2XL

I have a pair of Hollis F1 fins in XL and a pair in 2XL. The XL have been used on two dives while the 2XL have never been used. Both were purchased new recently within the last couple months. I decided to go a different direction and I already have way too many fins in the garage to hold onto these. They are both in "like new" condition meaning they look like they just came off the sales floor.

Each pair is $120 including shipping CONUS and insurance. I do my best to ship out the day payment arrives. I am out of town as of this Friday (4/3) for a week or so, but if an offer comes in before that I will get them to UPS before I leave. All other offers will be handled first thing when I am back in town the following week.

Conditions/Terms: PayPal is the only payment accepted and payment is required before shipment. Upon request I will provide my personal contact information before a payment is made. PayPal eChecks must clear before I will ship. I only ship to CONUS and a UPS tracking number is sent to the PayPal address provided. Deals are usually first come first serve but I reserve the right to sell to the buyer of my choosing.

I've been curious about these fins. After diving them, what are your thoughts on them?

They look and work like Batman versions of the Scubapro Jets. They seem a bit more flexible than the Jets (just a bit), they are hefty like Jets and they kick like a monster. Haven't been in current with them, but I don't think there is any question in my mind they would perform as well or better than most fins in current including Jets. In a nutshell, I would say they are better looking, more comfortable, adjustable spring strap included versions of the Jets with a bit more "engineering".

Just curious what other direction you went and why, since these are supposed to be so good? I've been considering these myself. (I'd buy from my LDS, though, and yours are sold anyway)

In order to reduce clutter, I wanted to get down to one set of fins that works best for me and that includes a lot of snorkeling, diving in warm water at fairly shallow depths with a light current and traveling. My fin inventory includes a couple full foot fins, these, Atomic Smoke and a Raptor set. Needless to say I have too many fins. So when it came down to it, the Atomic Smokes work best for me since they are lighter, easier to kick and I don't really get into environments that need the big finning these can provide. These fins really do kick and if I were further into my diving I would probably stick with these and sell the rest, but for now the Smokes are a better fit.

Seeing that you decided the smokes were best for you said a lot to me. I tried the smokes and they weren't for me. A good friend of mine (cough cough splitlip) has them and loves them. I have slipstreams, and liked them until I bought my V-16's. Now I dive my V-16's. Funny thing, the V-16's are almost identical to the smokes. I'm thinking the Hollis are very comparable to the slipstreams. Maybe?

Doubtful. The SlipStreams are VERY stiff... much more so than Jets. Hollis F1's have been described as feeling more bendy than Jets. From a weight perspective, Jets and Hollis F1's are pretty close, while SlipStreams are very noticeably lighter.
