Oops, 3.7v(nominal, higher hot off the charger) x six cells = 22.4v P7's are tough but that's six times over spec. You could DD 6 P7's off a 6s lico pack.
Your work looks great so I presume that was a typo. Well done

Salvo no longer exists, they went under and Halcyon took over their remaining possessions as part of a court ordered settlement.

Light Monkey is a new and separate company started by two former Salvo employees. They have broken ties with Salvo to stay out of the Salvo/Halcyon legal mess.

Parallel configuration!!!
That's the next plan, to run 2-3 P7s in series. I have built a 3 P7 light and it was really bright...

Looks a nice unit, can it be upgraded to a video light? A local mob has an LED configuration they sell which is 7 Cree XP-G on one 40mm dia board, can be viewed at cutter.com.au/proddetail.php?prod=cut933. Board appears to be made by Khatod Optics. It punches out around 2400 lumens, so would be nice to have as a compact video light without a seperate battery pack. I'm sick of cables hanging around and getting caught up in things. Maybe it's just me.

That would be nice as a video lamp. I am at DEMA right now and there are many manufacturers using this type of LED configuration. It's good for video since it is more flood that spot. Not good for tech divers who want a spot. The claim of 2400 lumens I think is a bit over rated, but they are bright. I could not open the data sheets, but it should be easy enough to build a light head for it. Guessing each LED takes 3.6 volts to run at about 700ma so you would need about 27 volts to run this array. Could use a buck puck driver to run it. I just ordered some buck pucks to try out with my 27W LED prototype unit. They are 1000ma. I may be able to overdrive this module a bit. They also make a 700ma module. You want a light without a canister right? Could just be an aluminum cylinder with a battery pack and all electronics inside and a toggle switch. Use some 3-4 latches to hold up the back together.. This could be a cool project.

Guys:
Just a quick update on things. I am currently waiting for some more items to arrive, but I should have (2) 12W LED canister lights ready to ship by next week. These will be complete- light, batteries, charger. I have been trying to keep the price as low as possible while keeping quality very high (agro glands, delrin, custom light head, locking latches, etc). It looks like my $400 projection was a bit low. Therefore, I am pricing the 12W at $450 shipped CONUS. It looks like, even at this price, some of the closest retail units are still about $200 higher.

An additional 2 lights will be completed shortly thereafter, I expect a few days after the initial 2 are finished as I am just waiting for a few parts to get them done.

Based on the number of PMs I have received, it looks like these are pretty much ALL spoken for. I would , however, like to know who is really interested so I can be ready to contact you as soon as done.

Again, thanks to everyone for their support. I will be making more of these, so if you don't get one now, get on the list for the next batch... My next goal is to try to get the 27W unit up and running. This one, I hope to bring out for about $800... We'll see.
