Ikelite DS-51 question

I have an Ikelite DS-51 strobe with the EV manual controller. I have a limited number of dives on this unit, but have had several instances where the strobe will begin to randomly flash underwater. There are no indications in the owners manual as to what this may be - any ideas on this one?

I believe there is something in the manual about if the EV manual controller sensor comes into contact with another flash of light (i.e on the surface and light flashing through the waves) might trigger off the strobe.

Just take a note next time it happens. I had a Ds50 a few years ago and it did something like this but it was on a rare occasion.

Regards Mark
