Shutter Speed - DC600

On my DC600 I have the shutter speed set as fast as possilbe, but the camera still slows the shutter down under low light conditions... This is very irritating. Is there anythign i can do to make it stop this?

Are you using strobe(s)? What mode are you using? Low light like dusk or 130ft?
