Hi,
Anyone know if they make a UW housing for an
Olympus C-740 Ultra Zoom.

If they do, what would you recommend. I'll google it here in a sec, but was curious too see if you guys/dolls had any input.

Hey Tommy,

I think I may have an answer for you. Olympus makes the PT-018 those housing and as far as I've heard those are good and are rated for up to 130 feet depth. I have the C-5000 with Oly housing, not used yet.

On eBay one can find new cheap housing from Oly for the older models. They have now the PT-019,20,21 that one can get for less then $40 brand new.

None of them will. They are for C-5000, C-5060 and D-575,80. What I did was to first find a cheap housing (PT-019), and then I bought camera for it (C-5000). It totaled to about $160. Of what I've read so far the camera is pretty good for beginner and will last me some time before I need to buy better. Most of all the whole deal was very inexpensive, and wouldn't be a big catastrophy if say, I flood it.

Camera is only couple years old, shame can not find the housing for it any longer.

I'm not sure if they make one for that model but check the Ikelite website www.ikelite.com They list all of the housings that they make there including the ones that have been discontinued.

Little known fact: Scuba Toys sells Ikelite. I shoot Ikelite, and have bought just about all of it through them. They'll beat the Adorama, or anyone else's, price.
