green filters?

I captured some video in the Gulf of Mexico at 65 feet and is looked all green. Are there filters I can buy to help with this. Next time I will also use better lighting.

Actually they're referred to as "red" filters in u/w videography. As they put the red back in that's lost at depth.

UR/Pro Underwater Camera Filters

You have the home made housing right? If so, your best option would be to buy the right filter for the front of your camera.
But it will turn everything above about 15' yellow.

You might also try modifying one of these: red filter - Adorama.com
Amphibico also sells their filters but they're probably more than you've got in your housing. AMPHIBICO - Underwater Imaging Equipment

I'm not a video guy, but I do a fair amount of UW still photography. Why not use the custom white balance feature on your camera? I'll concede that it's much more of a hassle than slapping a filter on, but color representation will certainly be more accurate as you change depth throughout the water column (provided that you white balance whenever you change your depth).

Have fun...

I saw some of the pictures at wetpixel done with a green filter from magic filter.
Supposedly it works wonders, however I do not know how that will trade off into Video and at that depth
