New low cost flash based 720p video cameras...
We are starting to see a growing number of 720p capable mini video cameras that use flash for storage (MPEG4).
It would be slick if one of them had a low cost housing as well. I'm sure the optical lens is of less quality than a Sony HDCAM, but for recreational play and in the hands of someone willing to work with it, I think it could give decent results. Unfortunately at this point the only video I've shot is with my SD550 Canon Elph, which can actually continuously record as long as there is storage space. It's fun.

Like the Xacti HD1/2? Epoque has a housing for it, model #EHS-510H. There's a short demo video clip on their site.
