Long time no see!

Quero is a fantastic local resource for those who want to dive Thailand.

I speak from experience.
Thanks for the welcome from my once-and-future dive buddy! How did your slideshow presentation for your dive club go?

Wow, I googled up Richelieu Rock and it's really beautiful. Have you come across any whale sharks out there? My fiancee would love to see one someday.
Whale sharks are Richeleiu regulars this time of year. They're a bit later than usual this year, but have been sighted up there this past week. They come when the water starts to turn "green" at the change of the seasons since that's when their food source--plankton--starts coming in. Of course it's a tradeoff between viz and big fish....

Can you only reach that area only on a Liveaboard?
No, you can take speedboat daytrips from Khao Lak (a couple hours' drive north of Phuket), but it's definitely easier and more convenient by LOB.

Good idea. Nobody will remember to look here for this discussion we've been having (it should probably be moved at this point).

Scheduling mixup, so I'm actually slated to give it in April instead of last week. At least I have more time to tweak the presentation!

I posted a trip review of my dives on this site... there are one or two shots in it that may look familiar to you.

Cool, C-dude! What a wonderful write-up! And yeah, I do recall seeing a few of those fish you shot pictures of...

You even got a couple of images of a mermaid!
