Second question first:
We wear the same thermal protection year round... Water's typically about 29°C/85°F except for the occasional thermocline, so it all depends on your tolerance.

A lot of my divers from the US just wear board shorts and tee's, but I'm in nothing less than a 3mm full suit for all daytime dives, and sometimes notch it up a bit for a night dive from a LOB when it's the fourth dive of the day.

First question:
Diving here is very, very good. I recommend it highly

You mean of the areas here in Thailand? Without a doubt, my #1 fave is Richelieu Rock in the Surin Island Marine Park group. But lots of others are still capable of making me say WOW every time I dive them.

Wow, I googled up Richelieu Rock and it's really beautiful. Have you come across any whale sharks out there? My fiancee would love to see one someday.

Can you only reach that area only on a Liveaboard?
