Hooray another FNG!
Were do I start...ah yes. So I did my last tour as a Navy Corpsman for the Marines in Okinawa, Japan and this is my 1 year out and unto "Camp Couch Division." after 5 years of proud service. There I was introduced to scuba but unfortunately, the paperwork hasn't been turned in after my completion and I lost my darn dive log so I can show PADI that I completed the O/W course. Oh well, it's ok and I won't have a problem starting anew.
So far, I am working as a part time student in CSN my major is being a registered nurse and someday back into the military as an Ensign and living off of my Montgomery GI Bill, also a part time worker for Sport Chalet (like Sports Authority) in the scuba section. As for the Open water program, I guess I will find out the results if I can take it again for Sport Chalet, today. I have lots of product questions to ask and I hope that you can bare with me and thanks to Scubatoys forum for letting me be here. Jim |

Welcome Squid. Other than lowering the tone that the soldiers, and former soldiers did so much to create here, you'll be a very welcome addition.
PADI might well be able to find your qualification records. Enjoy the diving, and the very best in your future. Thanks for your service. SD |

Devil Squid, thank you. Hooray for me for making an Acronym stick. Anyways, Green Side Corpsman Or Docs don't live in ships like the rest of the Navy (blue side) does. They live in adverse climes and places with our Marines and provide service to all branches whether in conflict and humanitarian services. Marine PT every M,W,F @ 0500.
You can ask Navy HmC. I am sure he means in Navy Hospital Corpsman Chief Petty Officer (possibly Independent Duty Corpsman) under most likely under Forward Recsusitative Surgical Suite (like Army MASH tents) under the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force 1st Medical Battalion or Cali based fast mobile unit for any part of the world. Would my observations be correct, Navy HmC? Thank you so much for the warm welcome from prior service members and I am amazed by how many prior veterans and pro miltary folks there are here. Thanks for your services, support and contribution and lastly thanks for letting me stay. Hoo-ah to the Soldiers! and Hoo-rah! to Navy HmC, ntburchf, myself. Chris the Social thanks for reminding me. Last edited by castanagajt : 03-25-2008 at 09:10 AM. Reason: add |
