Don't worry about the drop bears. Just walk around with your hand in the air all the time, that way if they come for you they'll drop on your hand rather than your head.

Now the hoop snakes, those are another story...

I loved it! Got to hang out with about 100 dealers from around Australia, and met some great folks. The weather was beautiful... except wind and waves which cancelled our dive we were supposed to do one day. Seas were running 3-4 meters...

But Coffs is such a beautiful little area - saw whales breaching just off shore, great little cafe's... even learned to order a "long black" instead of coffee!

But a few days after the conference, it cleared out enough that we could head on out and do some dives. Got to see some huge wobby's, grey nurse everywhere, giant cuttlefish and tons more.

Now the vis was still a bit kicked up from the wind and waves the previous days - but over all it was great!

We put up a tiny video of me with the grey nurses on the scubadivingtube.com site: Scuba Diving Videos Diving with Grey Nurse Sharks in Coffs Harbour Australia Scuba Videos

I was diving with Mike from Jetty Dive Scuba Diving Coffs Harbour Solitary Islands with Jetty Dive Just super people, great boat - and made sure everyone had a fantastic time. Big thumbs up for Mike and his team.

The locals were so friendly to the Americans... they explained if we rub vegemite in our hair - the drop bears wouldn't get us... And pink socks keep the hoop snakes at bay...

On Sunday I caught up with some dive friends who mentioned there recent trip to Coffs (they are from Sydney). I had to share with them my upcoming purchase from Scuba Toys and they just happened to comment how they bumped into you at a dive at Coffs. What small world it is.

I love Coffs as well...2 sets of traffic lights that takes 20mins off the trip from Brisbane to Sydney!! But Oz loves Americans, were not so sure of their government, but it is great to be with people who are so different, yet exactly the same - go figure?
