I wanted to say Hello to everyone! I have been a diver for 5 years, certified in Puget Sound(Washington) and currently diving Monterey and Mendocino cold waters. Diving in kelp is a blast! Don't let cold waters keep you from exploring the rest of the ocean. Last dive trip was Belize "The Blue Hole" -amazing! Looking forward to being a part of this forum.

Hello there!

I'm San Francisco too, but unlike you and your brave self, I'm strickly a warm water diver. Also about 5 years in, headed for Roatan in June. I just joined last week - seems like a fun, lighthearted board. See ya around...

Welcome from Central Valley diver. Have not done Monterey or any "tropic" waters. Spend most of my time diving the coast farther south. Have done the channel islands off Ventura, Catalina Island, and off San Diego. Great diversity of not only 'critters' but water temps also.
Next trip is booked for Anacapa &/or Santa Cruz with dive boat Spectre out of Ventura on Memorial weekend.

Welcome from So. Cal. Some day I want to dive Monerey. "Have dry suit will travel" When I check local conditions I notice what's up north too. You all were getting pounded. Good thing for Pt. Conception or we'd be getting all your stuff down here.
