HELLO From Milwaukee

Basically new to diving. Finished cert. 2 weeks ago, and almost finished with Advanced Open Water. Would have been done but storms forced canx of last day of diving.

Plan to mostly wreck dive in Lake Michigan.

Going to Roaton, Hondurus in Jan for 7. Can not wait!

Welcome. I grew up (contrary to what my wife says) in West Allis, then Hartford area way back when. I don't get back there much anymore. I would love to get out on a few of the wreck dives down there. One of these days.

Welcome to the toys board. Try local diving. I'm in Illinois NW of Chicago and dive south of Chicago at Haigh Quarry. There are places to dive up near Milwaukee, as well as the big lake.
Keep diving, and keep posting.

Len-Der

I will be doing most of my diving off the Len-Der. My uncle is the Boats Captain on Wednesday nights. Plan on diving every Wednesday until the colder months. Hopefully by then, I will have a Drysuit.

Sweet... The friend of mine that I am going up there with has dove off the Len-Der a few times and he says they are the crew to go with... If I am ever going to be able to make it up there during the week I will let ya know....

Great, let me know. One of the things I like about diving is the opportunity to meet new people who share the same passion for underwater adventure.

I was going to suggest that you come out on the boat with us when we are up there in July, but I think that there is already 12 or 13 on the boat, so it will be tight....

What are the conditions on Lake Michigan right now around Milwaukee?

Thanks

Phil

Water temp right now is in 50's. Not greatest time to dive right now do to wind and all the rain we are getting pounded with.
