Charleston, Sc Here
Well got my Open Water Certification when I was in Turkey a year ago. I didn’t do any diving when I got back to the states till last weekend and I went out got some gear and started diving again. Now I’m looking for some good info and a few diving buddies.

I'm up in Greenville, I haven't dove Charleston yet, but by brother goes to COC so I'm going to try and make it down there some. I also dive in Myrles Inlet a fair bit and hour or two north of you because my gf has a house there. Welcome, and let me know, I'm always up for a dive.

Me and my girlfriend are going out July 2nd with Express Water Sports in Myrles Inlet. We have been out with them a few times and they are a quality outfit. They have a big, fast, and comfortable dive boat, and I have always felt like they knew what they were doing and took safety first. The only complaint I have is when I have rented tanks from them they are usually only full to about 2800 psi, so I would bring my own, or check them before you leave dock. Other than that I would highly recommend them.

Welcome all, esp. if your Tiger Fans!!
I like going out of Murrells and have used Express. They have a good operation, but I also have used Coastal in North Myrtle as well. When your ready for something different, come to the upcountry. Especially during the winter months. Lake Jocasse is right at 1000' asl at full pond, so bring some thick suits. Don't like cold water? no problem. We dive the nuke plant outlet pipes during Jan -March. Temps in the 80s. We call it the hot hole for some odd reason. |
