Greetings from Illinois

Hello One & All,

I've been diving for 14yrs off and on. I got certified right after high school. At first I was a very nervous diver having only descended in the cold, dark lakes of IL, WI & IN. Now having dove in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Cabo San Lucas and Maui I love the sport more than ever. Anybody want to recommend any great shark dives?

Thanks,
Tami

I've never done the cage type shark dives... but I did a live aboard in the Turks and Caicos, and at one site, we had a lot of reef sharks around.

And if you can get over to Micronesia... Truk or Palau... they are everywhere!

Welcome to the board! I just got back from Key Largo and almost every dive someone saw a shark (mostly nurse sharks).

Welcome to the board.

I have never dove there, but friends of mine have said that off the coast of NC there is some good shark dives. I lived in NC for about 7 years, unfortunately I was not diving then.

Welcome -- head out to Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea and you will see plenty of reef sharks. One of the dives is actually a shark feed, so you get the whole frenzy thing going.
