Ahoy hoy from FL

Just wanted to say hello.

Im just now starting my diving hobby and am gathering all the info I can before my OW class next month. My job (Firefighter/Paramedic) allows me alot of free time to pursue hobbies, so I'm hoping SCUBA is all I think it is, as I enjoy snorkling alot.

Anywho have a great week everyone
Kyle

Well, if you like snokeling, you will probably LOVE diving. The best analogy I have heard is that "Going to the ocean without scuba is like going to the circus and staring at the outside of tent."

I like your screen name 249. You know they are talking about replacing the SAW? Personally, I think the collapsable SAW's kick ass!

Thanks, Its a little more manly sounding screen name than FN Minimi.

I don't know that the proposed LSAT would be better, except for the weight reduction if they used the case-less ammo version.

Welcome Kyle, you will love Scuba. I started a year an a half ago and go almost every week down here in south FL. You ever need a partner just let me know where in the area you will be diving and I'll see if I can make it. Good Luck & Enjoy

Welcome! A good friend of mine just finished fire school and is doing some work for Key Biscayne Fire Fighters, he also picked up scuba and LOVES it.
Good luck, and pay attention in class. One problem I notice with him is that he gets to ahead of himself. Remember to stay smart and always bring yourself to "reality" meaning that even though you are in better shape then some other people and you can probably handle yourself better then others remember you could always learn something from somebody (and that goes for everyone else too)!
