Dov'e L'Italiani?

So my Italian friends say that scuba is not a big sport in Italy. I find that hard to believe what with a fine company like Mares BEING and Italian company? So where are all of the native Italian divers on this forum?

Aack, sorry for the error, Dove sono L'Italiani...can't edit the title.

Aah Lulu, you are gonna make me brush off that Italian grammar book and get back into my Italian as a 2nd language phase.

Actually, I was doing really well with my mother's native language, but because I don't have anyone to converse with, it has become a forgotten lesson for me.

I take it that if I restart my home tutoring program, you be interesting in chatting online in Italian?

Si, gNats, parliamo in Italiano, ma mio L'Italiano non molto buono. Non sono Italiana, ma mio L'ultimo fidanzato era a Roma. E anche ho molti amici italiani. Voglio parlare (fluently?). E poi, Spagnolo. E molto difficile avere tempo perche lavoro sempre. Allora, devo practicare sul Scuba Toys. Feel free to correct errors please.

Correct errors! Dang girl! LOL. I could make out most of the words and fill in the blanks. Okay. Give me a day or two to dust off those books. We are splitting atoms now. This will be fun.

Mio L'ultimo fidanzato ha avuto piccoli piedi.

hahahaha - okay - I'm either reading this very wrong - or you just gave me TMI about your x-fiance's physique.

Hahahaha - of course, you met me in the chat room last night so you you probably were able to surmise that I have an odd sense of humor.

I agree. In my travels, i've met germans, swiss, brits, dutch, norweigian, french, and belgian divers. No italians so far. germans and swiss outnumber the rest by a significant margin.

maybe italians see fish as food, not as something to admire/observe.

So if they see fish as food (agreed, me too) they should take up spearfishing! But with Mares as a big scuba company, I think maybe they are just hiding. I know quite a few Italians who are very sporty, hiking, skiing, etc. They must be out there.

gNATs, back to you later, have to go put on the suit and smooze.
