Not from up there, but I try to come up and Dive Lake Okoboji once a year or so. My mother-inlaw lives on the lake... Nice place to visit, but the winters are pretty crazy up there. I was hoping to make it up there for some Ice Diving this year, but with two brand new babies that is probably not going to happen....
Welcome to the board. Phil

Definately need to head up to Lake Okoboji... I am not sure of other places but Okoboji is nice. It can be REAL crazy in the summer time with boaters and drinkers, and probably drinking boaters. It would be a good little drive from Cedar Rapids (around 4 hours). For more info you can talk to the folks at Blue Water Divers. Nice people. I had the pleasure of doing some wreck diving with one of the owners in Lake Michigan this year. It was a strange coincidence. I just happened to notice the Okoboji t-shirt, and asked about it. Turned out he was the OW instructor for my wife and he mom. Phil
